Applications and manufacturing scope

Hard chrome combines dimensional build-up and wear performance on newly manufactured shafts, piston rods, rollers and bearing surfaces. Machining allowance, coating thickness and final grinding or super-finish polishing are defined in one technical plan before production starts.

  • New piston rods, guide shafts, rollers and wear surfaces
  • Drawing-defined masking of external and accessible internal surfaces
  • Post-plating grinding, dimensional and surface-roughness inspection

Technical acceptance and order inputs

Coating thickness, final diameter, tolerance, roughness and unplated areas are defined on the drawing.

  • Share the PDF drawing, STEP/STP, quantity and operating conditions.
  • Review plating area, masking, base material and hydrogen-embrittlement risk.
  • Apply the agreed pre-machining allowance, plating and any required baking sequence.
  • Verify final diameter, coating thickness, roughness and masked areas.

Manufacturing

What we coordinate for your drawing

  • New piston rods, guide shafts, rollers and wear surfaces
  • Drawing-defined masking of external and accessible internal surfaces
  • Post-plating grinding, dimensional and surface-roughness inspection

Project control

Clear technical responsibility for new component manufacturing

  • The scope starts with manufacturing a new component from raw material or a semi-finished blank to an approved drawing.
  • Coating thickness, final diameter, tolerance, roughness and unplated areas are defined on the drawing.
  • Drawing revision, process sequence and acceptance records are tracked through the order.
  • Manufacturing, quality documentation and export delivery are managed as one CNC-Turkey project.

FAQ

Questions international buyers ask

What should the drawing define before plating?

State base material, plated area, pre-plate and final sizes, coating thickness, tolerance, roughness, edge transitions and masking.

Can internal surfaces be hard chrome plated?

Where access and geometry permit, internal hard chrome can be reviewed up to approx. Ø300 mm and 2000 mm long. Blind bores, electrode access and coating distribution require drawing review.

Is grinding required after hard chrome plating?

It depends on final tolerance and roughness. Post-plate grinding or super-finishing can be included for precision bearing or sealing surfaces.

Is every part within the stated envelope accepted?

No. Weight, electrode access, racking, plated area, material and tolerance are reviewed together before acceptance.

Can machining and hard chrome be planned in one order?

Yes. Pre-plating size, coating allowance, masked areas, final grinding or super-finishing and acceptance records for the new component can be defined in one process plan.
