From conveying and metering augers to bottle timing screws for packaging lines, we turn defined helical-component specifications into a controlled manufacturing route.

auger and feed screw manufacturing
Overall diameter and length alone do not define an auger. Pitch, lead, helix hand, number of starts, root diameter, flight profile, end interfaces and runout work together. CNC-Turkey coordinates manufacturing, secondary processes, inspection and export for one-piece machined augers and feed screws made to an approved drawing or 3D model. Throughput, dosing accuracy or line performance can be assessed only when process data and a written acceptance test are defined.
The word 'auger' does not describe one universal component. A conveyor screw moving dry or granular product, a metering screw controlling feed, and a bottle timing screw spacing containers on a packaging line require different design inputs. Quotation starts by classifying the actual duty and machine interface.
✓One-piece CNC-machined conveying and metering augers
✓Constant- or variable-pitch feed screws
✓Timing screws for bottles, jars or suitable container geometries
✓Shaft ends, coupling interfaces and replaceable helical components to drawing
Helical geometry that must be defined for quotation
Outside diameter, root diameter, overall length, active flight length, pitch and lead are separate dimensions. Right- or left-hand helix, single or multiple starts, inlet/outlet transitions, flight thickness/profile, edge radii and shaft interfaces should be explicit on the drawing. Where a casing or sleeve is involved, operating clearance and reference datums are also required; function cannot be guaranteed from the screw geometry alone.
Line data required for a bottle timing screw
A bottle timing screw cannot be derived from container shape alone. Alongside a 3D container model or measured sample, we need infeed/outfeed centres, line and conveyor speed, screw speed and rotation direction, pocket count, required dwell or rotation, guide rails, drive interface and existing machine references. Line trial and approval responsibility for a new profile are defined separately in the quotation.
Material, product contact and surface requirements
Material selection depends on conveyed product, temperature, wear, corrosion, cleaning method, overall length and stiffness. Stainless and engineering steels, aluminium, or machinable engineering plastics such as POM-C and PE-UHMW can be reviewed project by project. For food, pharmaceutical or product contact, the required material declaration, traceability, roughness, cleaning and regulatory responsibilities must be stated in writing before order; generic 'food-grade' compliance is not assumed.
Manufacturing route and scope boundaries
Turning, milling and, where suitable, multi-task or multi-axis machining can be combined for one-piece helical geometries. The route accounts for long-part support, rough/finish allowance, stress, end interfaces and inspection access. Welded flight augers, extruder screw-and-barrel pairs, hardfacing, special coatings or process design are not the same standard scope and are not committed until section, material, heat treatment, wear/corrosion environment and acceptance criteria are confirmed.
Inspection, first article and repeat orders
The inspection plan follows functional drawing dimensions: outside/root diameters, total and active lengths, pitch/lead, helix hand, end interfaces, concentricity and runout. Complex profile comparison, scanning or external CMM inspection is agreed separately with its report format at quotation. For a new application, dimensional first article and functional machine trial are separate approvals; repeat production starts from the approved revision, material, inspection method and written first-article result.
These CNC-Turkey technical visualizations explain helical geometry and possible machining steps; they are not photographs of customer deliveries. Geometry, material and machinability for a new project are confirmed only from its own technical file.
Which auger and feed-screw types can you manufacture?
We can review one-piece CNC-machined conveying or metering augers, constant/variable-pitch feed screws and bottle timing screws to an approved drawing or 3D model. Feasibility is confirmed from size, geometry, material, quantity, inspection and machine access.
Can you reproduce an old or worn auger sample?
A preliminary review is possible, but a worn sample alone does not establish the original profile, clearance, material or performance. Share photographs, basic dimensions, mating casing/sleeve, product and operating data; measurement, reverse-engineering, design approval and functional-test responsibilities must be agreed in writing.
Do you also manufacture extruder screws and barrels?
Extruder screw-and-barrel work is a different specialist process from a general conveying auger. It is not committed as a standard service without complete screw zones, compression ratio, polymer/process data, alloy, nitriding or coating, barrel clearance and wear acceptance; the file is reviewed project by project.
What information is needed for a bottle timing screw?
Provide a 3D container model or measured sample and tolerances, infeed/outfeed centres, line and conveyor speed, screw speed/direction, pocket count, guides, drive interface, existing machine references and required functional test. A bottle photograph alone is insufficient.
Which files should I send for quotation?
Send a PDF drawing and, where available, STEP/STP with quantity/annual demand, outside and root diameters, total and active lengths, pitch/lead, hand and number of starts, end interfaces, material, hardness/finish, critical tolerances/runout, mating clearance, process product, temperature, required documents and destination country.
