Aluminium is widely used in aerospace, automotive, medical device and general engineering applications for its combination of low weight and machinability. CNC Turkey coordinates sourcing of aluminium machined parts — primarily 6082-T6, 6060 T66 and 7075 — from prototype through to serial production via Istanbul-based machining infrastructure.
6082-T6 is the most commonly specified alloy for structural and engineering components, offering good machinability and medium-to-high strength.
6060 T66 is preferred for thin-section parts and where surface finish quality is a priority.
7075 is specified for aerospace and defence applications requiring high strength; machining parameters are reviewed against the drawing.

Surface treatments for aluminium parts
Surface treatments such as anodising (including hard anodising), painting and chemical conversion coatings can be coordinated through qualified sub-suppliers.
✓Anodising (Type II) — standard corrosion and wear protection; clear, black or coloured
✓Hard anodising (Type III) — enhanced wear resistance; thickness effect on dimensions to be stated at quotation
✓Painting (powder coat / wet paint) — decorative and protective; masking may be needed on high-tolerance surfaces
Tolerances and surface finish in aluminium CNC machining
Aluminium requires lower cutting forces than steel, so IT7 tolerances are routinely achievable under standard conditions. However, the dimensional effect of anodising must be considered at the quotation stage: Type II anodising typically adds 5–25 µm thickness per surface.
For tight-tolerance fits or surfaces, post-coating machining or masking should be planned and stated at the quotation stage. When general tolerance is not stated as ISO 2768-m, clarifying the tolerance block on the drawing is recommended for quotation accuracy.
Why source aluminium CNC parts from Turkey?
6082-T6 and 6060 T66 are widely available as profile and bar stock in Turkey. Under the EU Customs Union, aluminium machined parts enter Europe with zero tariff; road freight delivery in 3–6 days is possible.
The low weight of aluminium parts also reduces air freight cost, which is an important advantage for prototype and urgent orders. EN 10204 3.1 material certificates and post-anodising dimensional reports can be provided when agreed at the quotation stage.

You can send PDF drawings, STEP/STP, IGES/IGS, DXF, DWG and ZIP files, together with quantity, material, critical tolerances and delivery country.
Can material certificates be supplied?
EN 10204 3.1 material certificates can be supplied when requested and agreed during quotation. Source, form, dimensions and purchase conditions affect availability.
What if CMM inspection or a detailed dimensional report is required?
Dimensional inspection uses suitable conventional measuring equipment. Where CMM inspection, detailed dimensional reports or third-party verification are required, these services can be coordinated through a qualified measurement network.
How quickly will I get a first response?
We typically send the first technical response to your enquiry within 2 business days.
Which Incoterms do you support?
EXW, FCA Istanbul, DAP and CIF/CFR (sea freight) are supported; the exact Incoterm is agreed during quotation.
