marine CNC machining
In a marine environment, size is not the only thing that decides a part. We therefore review material, mating parts, corrosion risk, surface requirements and installation conditions together before quotation. CNC Turkey runs technical review, machining, secondary processes, inspection and export delivery as one project.
Shafts, pins, bushings, flanges and custom machined parts made to drawing for boat builders, marina equipment makers and marine equipment companies
✓Boat shafts, couplings, flanges and steering-system parts
✓Hinge pins, bushings and connection parts for gangways, walkways and pontoon systems
✓Shafts and bushings for pontoon pile guides and rollers
✓Crane, davit and passerelle parts: pins, bushings and shafts
✓Hydraulic cylinder parts and piston rods (not complete cylinders)
✓Custom housings, plates and fittings for production series
Stainless steels and bronze we machine
We machine stainless steel. The grades most often requested for marine parts are listed below; for a grade not listed, send your drawing and we will review supply and machinability.
✓1.4404 and 1.4435 (316L): general marine parts needing corrosion resistance
✓1.4462 (duplex): shafts and parts needing high strength and corrosion resistance
✓1.4301 (304): parts without direct seawater contact
✓1.4305 (303): good machinability; suitability for seawater contact must be reviewed separately
✓1.4542 (17-4PH): parts needing high strength
✓Marine bronze: bushings and bearing parts; alloy as specified on the drawing
Material and corrosion
Seawater contact, the splash zone and enclosed spaces can call for different materials. In stainless steel, 1.4404 (316L) is common; tight crevices and stagnant-water areas deserve separate attention on the drawing. Where dissimilar metals work together, galvanic corrosion should be discussed before quotation. The design owner specifies the material; we review it for machinability and supply.
Classification society requirements
If a part is subject to approval or survey by a classification society, state this in your request. We clarify part by part, before quoting, whether these requirements can be met; we do not claim a general class approval.
Inspection and export
Critical diameters, fits, hole positions, runout and surface requirements are linked to the inspection plan at quotation. The documentation scope is agreed before the order. Packing and delivery are planned around the part's length, weight, surface protection and destination.

Do you make class-approved parts?
If a part is subject to approval or survey by a classification society, state this in your request. We clarify part by part, before quoting, whether these requirements can be met; we do not claim a general class approval.
Which material should be used in a marine environment?
Seawater contact, the splash zone and enclosed spaces can call for different materials. Where dissimilar metals work together, galvanic corrosion should be discussed before quotation. The design owner specifies the material; we review it for machinability and supply.
Do you supply complete hydraulic cylinders?
No. We make piston rods and cylinder parts to drawing; we do not supply complete cylinders.
What information is required for a quote?
Share the drawing, quantity, material, place of use and destination country. State any classification society requirement.
